My space was in need of a serious makeover. I initially met Cathy while out shopping one day. I watched her and the items she selected and found myself drawn to ask her opinion on some décor items I was considering purchasing. Instead of just giving her opinion, she gave me information on things to consider before making these purchases. She explained that she was an Interior Designer with her own design firm. I got her card and decided I would reach out to her for help. As this was my first experience working with a designer, I didn’t know what to expect. Her only requests from me were to — trust the process and consider her recommendations. She insisted I be honest and speak up if I didn’t like some of her choices. Before I had my home redecorated, I used to be an avid watcher of HGTV. I loved the different ideas and styles of interiors and exteriors. I have always been interested in real estate, but never knew where to start with interior design.

I attended an Interior Decorating Class of Cathy Thompson, who is the owner of Eleganz by Design. After I met with Cathy, we discussed what we would do to decorate my home. We decided on a contemporary, accented style. She gave me a design for my budget, which was four rooms, along with all the lighting and accessories. The color coordination, style and furniture blended to my liking, as I discussed my desire of earthly tones and warm room flavor.

I have been very pleased with the end result, as the ideas were eye opening. I get so many compliments from my guests who visit, saying, “It looks like a new model home.” Sometimes, I say to myself “Wow”, beauty is in the details.

I worked with Cathy of Eleganz by Design to renovate my business which is a hair salon. Cathy did an excellent job in transforming the space to get the look I wanted and gave me the functional requirements I desired. My salon is gorgeous. Clients love the renovated space and I receive compliments from all who enter the shop.
